Questions and Answers

"List price" is the suggested retail price provided to us by our vendors. We make no representation that a substantial number of these products have been sold or offered for sale at the list price. Actual retail prices in your area may be substantially different. Since we sell products on a national basis, it is not possible to know if our merchandise is sold at list price in any particular location or at any particular time. "You Save" reflects the difference between our price and the vendor provided list price shown on our sites. Since the list price may be different than the actual retail prices in your area, you may not actually realize a savings of this amount.

Manufacturers sometimes ask that retailers not display a price if it drops below a certain amount. The "Click here to see Lowest Price" message indicates that the price of the item is so low that the manufacturer requested that it not be advertised (that is, displayed). In a brick-and-mortar store, you would probably have to ask a salesperson what the price of the product is. At eCOST, by clicking on "Click here to see Lowest Price" you are essentially asking to see the price, at which point we show it to you.

WOW STUPID FAST!, 2013-03-21
By Tom
I kept hearing all this hype about how much faster the SDD technology is but couldn't justify the huge price differences between spinning drives and SDD. The prices have come down a lot lately. I have a MAC PRO computer that already has 1 (2) TB 720...

I had purchased this for my 13inch MBP 2011. It was very easy to switch out. I did not clone my drive since I wanted a clean fresh install so I can't give you a review on that, but the difference between the standard drive and this one is night and ...

Great value. Fairly simple install. Very fast. Just cloned my 160gb internal hard drive to the Samsung 840 500gb SSD using carbon copy cloner (free version). For the cloning process, the SSD was attached to the Macbook Pro using a sata-to-usb adapte...

Is there an installation tutorial? I want to replace a 750 gb sata and start fresh on a 2009 MacBook Pro

Dude, it's so easy to swap out a harddrive from a mbp pro. just take off the 10 screws off the bottom plate using a small phillips head, and keep them in the right order b/c 3 of them are longer than the other 7 so remember where they go by keeping them organized in whatever way you want. pop off the bottom, locate hd. unscrew 4 tiny, black phillips screws holding it in. remove hd from hd cable. use a t6 torx head to remove the 4 t6 screws at each corner of the hd that are there to cradle the hd in the right place. transfer these to ssd and reverse to install. simple.
