Scalable, Hardware-Assisted Virtualization The SFN5162F is designed to optimize virtualized application performance and maximize the use of network resources. With 10x the number of vNICs and virtual PCIe functions than the competition, I/O performance scales as the number of CPU cores and virtual machines increase resulting in enhanced application performance supporting more applications per physical server.
The SFN5162F accelerates guest applications in leading hypervisors, supporting NetQueue and VMQ in VMware and Hyper-V, and SR-IOV in KVM and XenServer. Solarflare SFP+ 10GBASE-SR Transceiver
Solarflare's SFP+ 10GBASE-SR optical transceivers complete the networking solution by providing the physical interconnection with a Solarflare tested and approved SFP+ module. This streamlines customer's purchasing process enabling a single transaction at the server adapter point of sale from the same source, while simplifying selling and fulfillment activities.
SFM10G-SR 850nm multimode 10Gbps SFP+ transceivers are hot-pluggable SFP+ footprint devices for use in 10-Gigabit Ethernet links over multi-mode fiber. The SFM10G-SR SFP+ transceiver module is fully tested and compatible with all Solarflare single-port and dual-port SFP+ 10GbE server adapters in both enterprise and midrange product families. SFM10G-SR is compliant with the SFF-8431, SFF-8432, and IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-SR specifications.
SFM10G-SR 850nm multimode 10Gbps SFP+ transceivers are hot-pluggable SFP+ footprint devices for use in 10-Gigabit Ethernet links over multi-mode fiber. They are compliant with the SFF-8431, SFF-8432 and IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-SR specifications. The transceiver is RoHS compliant and lead-free per Directive 2002/95/EC6. The SFP+ transceiver supports the 2-wire serial communication protocol as defined in the SFF-8472. This low-power module supports OM1, OM2 and OM3 multi-mode fiber (MMF) media with standard LC connectors.
Compatibility and Performance The SFM10G-SR SFP+ transceiver module is fully tested and compatible with all Solarflare single-port and dual-port SFP+ 10GbE server adapters in both enterprise and midrange product families. SFM10G-SR supports up to 300 meter reach using standard LC connectors with OM3 MMF.
