"List price" is the suggested retail price provided to us by our vendors. We make no representation that a substantial number of these products have been sold or offered for sale at the list price. Actual retail prices in your area may be substantially different. Since we sell products on a national basis, it is not possible to know if our merchandise is sold at list price in any particular location or at any particular time. "You Save" reflects the difference between our price and the vendor provided list price shown on our sites. Since the list price may be different than the actual retail prices in your area, you may not actually realize a savings of this amount.

Manufacturers sometimes ask that retailers not display a price if it drops below a certain amount. The "Click here to see Lowest Price" message indicates that the price of the item is so low that the manufacturer requested that it not be advertised (that is, displayed). In a brick-and-mortar store, you would probably have to ask a salesperson what the price of the product is. At eCOST, by clicking on "Click here to see Lowest Price" you are essentially asking to see the price, at which point we show it to you.

LaCie eSATA Hub Thunderbolt Series

The eSATA Hub from LaCie lets you connect an eSATA drive to a Mac without an ExpressCard/34 slot while achieving full eSATA speeds of 10Gb/s. Additionally, the hub supports daisy chaining Thunderbolt devices.

Give Your Storage A Thunderbolt Upgrade.

  • Connect eSATA drives to your new Mac
  • Get full speeds from eSATA drives
  • Daisy chain Thunderbolt devices

Unleashing Full eSATA Speeds
The ExpressCard/34 maximum bus speed is 2.5GB/second, which limits eSATA 3GB/second transfer speeds. The eSATA Hub clears this bottleneck, since Thunderbolt's 10Gb/s provides more than enough speed to accommodate 3GB/second. Achieve the full speed potential of your eSATA drives.

Connect eSATA Drives To New Macs
Better speeds, better value. With the eSATA Hub Thunderbolt Series, now you can connect eSATA drives to your Thunderbolt-compatible Mac. Connect up to two drives to the Hub, which connects to the Thunderbolt port on your new Mac. The eSATA Hub is the perfect solution for companies that use eSATA drives, but have upgraded their Macs to versions without ExpressCard/34 slots. It also offers a great way for photographers or other creatives to boost eSATA drive performance.

Bring New Value To Your Storage
You already own eSATA drives, but can't connect them to your new Mac. The eSATA Hub modernizes your drives and puts them back to work. You don't have to buy new drives and scrap the old ones. eSATA and Thunderbolt connections are even software RAID compatible. Upgrade your storage with Thunderbolt technology.

Daisy Chain For Convenience
Thunderbolt technology supports daisy chaining, so you can connect a display or other Thunderbolt device to the eSATA Hub. This means you can connect, for example, your high-end LaCie 324i display and your eSATA Hub to your Mac via a single Thunderbolt cable. Thunderbolt technology also supports two channels - one dedicated for data, and the other for video - each with 10Gb/s of bandwidth. This means you can push and pull audio/video data without reducing bandwidth. Maximum convenience, minimum desktop clutter.

It Works!, 2013-06-29

I was concerned whether it would play nice with my existing eSATA hardware. LaCie only features their brand's of eSATA products to be compatible with the Hub - and I have read that it may not work with other brand's hardware.

I was pleasantly...

I bought this to go with a new Retina MBP. I'd had several drives daisy-chained through FireWire 800, but all of them had eSATA connections that I couldn't use with my 2006 MBP. After hooking everything up, it works like a dream. Transfer speeds at ...

I have multiple eSATA drives that I use for different projects. With this hub I have significantly reduced the copying time, and I love that there's no need to daisy-chain the drives anymore. This is a great and relatively inexpensive solution for f...

Super fast, 2012-07-08
By N.C.
The unit worked well right out of the box. I use it with my RAID eSata drive. I copied several gigabytes of RAW images in no time with this hub. This is a great way to boost the performance and an excellent product!
