"List price" is the suggested retail price provided to us by our vendors. We make no representation that a substantial number of these products have been sold or offered for sale at the list price. Actual retail prices in your area may be substantially different. Since we sell products on a national basis, it is not possible to know if our merchandise is sold at list price in any particular location or at any particular time. "You Save" reflects the difference between our price and the vendor provided list price shown on our sites. Since the list price may be different than the actual retail prices in your area, you may not actually realize a savings of this amount.

Manufacturers sometimes ask that retailers not display a price if it drops below a certain amount. The "Click here to see Lowest Price" message indicates that the price of the item is so low that the manufacturer requested that it not be advertised (that is, displayed). In a brick-and-mortar store, you would probably have to ask a salesperson what the price of the product is. At eCOST, by clicking on "Click here to see Lowest Price" you are essentially asking to see the price, at which point we show it to you.

Instant access to your HD camcorder video

Nadine loves her new AVCHD camcorder but is unhappy that it takes so long to get her videos from the camcorder to her Mac and iPod.

That all changed thanks to the Turbo.264 HD.

It used to take Nadine over an hour to make a fifteen minute movie from the videos she took with her AVCHD camcorder. With Turbo.264 HD, it takes her less than 20 minutes!

Intuitive and easy to use

Turbo.264 HD couldn't be easier to setup and use. Nadine simply connects the camcorder to her Mac, plugs the Turbo.264 HD into a USB port and launches the application. Turbo.264 HD detects the camcorder and displays thumbnails of all the video clips. Alternatively, Nadine could drag video files from the camera's icon on her desktop to the application window.

Preview and trim video files

To preview each clip, all Nadine has to do is click on a thumbnail to play it.

In one of the clips, Nadine forgot to stop recording. So she uses Turbo.264 HD's simple tool, which is built-in to the preview window, to mark and trim that part of the clip.

Nadine decides not to use two of the clips in the finished movie. She removes those two clips and is left with four clips that she likes.

Suitable for pros as well as novices

Nadine can now choose to combine all four clips into one movie, or make four individual movies. She moves the slider bar from "4 movies" to "1 movie", and clicks "start". It's as easy as that. Turbo.264 HD can convert video files one at a time or in a batch.

Nadine can pick from nine popular output formats in a drop-down menu, ranging from "iPod small" to "HD 1080p". If Nadine were a more experienced video enthusiast, she could create her own custom video output profiles by adjusting size, aspect ratio, overscan, frame rate, data rate, and more.

Convert videos at amazing speed

Once Nadine clicks the "Start" button, her 15-minute movie is ready to watch in just 15 minutes. It would take over an hour for other AVCHD converters and Mac movie applications to accomplish this same task. What's more, the movie is automatically optimized for the format she chose and if applicable, added to her iTunes library, ready to sync.

The original video clips remain on the camcorder, untouched and ready to use and edit again and again.

Upload video directly to YouTube

One of the original video clips is very funny, so Nadine uses Turbo.264 HD to convert that clip to a YouTube-friendly format and upload it directly to her YouTube account. Nadine selects the option, "YouTube HD", from the drop-down menu beside the clip. She then enters her YouTube login information (the first time only), the privacy setting, and a short description, and then clicks "Start". Her clip is live on YouTube in minutes.

Keep a video diary without cutting into travel time

Throughout Nadine's extended trip in Europe, Nadine posts videos to her blog for friends and family back home. Without the Turbo.264 HD, this would be almost impossible - it would take too much time! With Turbo.264 HD, she is able to convert and upload her videos quickly whenever she has access to Wi-Fi.

When her camcorder starts to fill up, she copies clips directly from the camera's drive to her MacBook's drive as a permanent archive before deleting them from the camera. Later, she can use the Turbo.264 HD to convert those 'raw' files to any additional formats she might want.

Share an iMovie project in less time

Turbo.264 HD dramatically accelerates video encoding when used with Mac applications such as iMovie, QuickTime Pro, Final Cut Pro, and EyeTV.

Back home, Nadine puts her travel videos together in a professional-looking movie complete with voice-overs, background music and text. Normally it would take over two hours to prepare her one-hour iMovie project for AppleTV. By using Turbo.264 HD to accelerate iMovie's standard sharing feature, Nadine's movie is ready in less than 45 minutes.

Accelerate EyeTV exports

Nadine bought Turbo.264 HD to use with her AVCHD camcorder, but she also uses the hardware encoder to accelerate EyeTV exports for Wi-Fi Access and iTunes, iPod and AppleTV. Turbo.264 HD preserves Dolby Digital audio when it encodes to the Apple TV format, so Nadine can playback recordings on her Apple TV with her multi-channel audio sound system. Turbo.264 HD also converts standard definition television recordings without scaling so that EyeTV recordings appear on Apple TV in the same resolution they were recorded.

Convert DVDs that are not copy-protected

Nadine also uses Turbo.264 HD to convert VIDEO_TS folders to play on her iPhone and AppleTV. Turbo.264 HD supports DVD chapter markers, and enables her to pick the audio track she wants to go with the main feature when converting VIDEO_TS folders. It also automatically detects widescreen DVD content to encode it without black bars. Turbo.264 HD supports 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios as well as widescreen content.
