The ScanFront 300P CAC/PIV is designed to improve the security of information being shared across Federal networks, while maintaining information quality, increasing manageability, and lowering costs.
Common Access Cards (CACs), issued by the Department of Defense (DoD), and other Personal Identification Verification (PIV)-compliant cards, are components of the federal government’s initiative to control access to their facilities and information systems. The ScanFront 300P CAC/PIV scanner is designed to recognize these cards in order to comply with assurance policies and mandates for digital data sending. Secure network scanning can be found in government entities beyond the DoD such as the Departments of Veterans Affairs, Homeland Security, Justice, Energy, and the Treasury, as well as the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Environmental Protection Agency, and more. No matter the environment, secure scanning is necessary to increase efficiency, reduce fraud, and protect privacy.
