I've been using a tablet for a year and just purchased this one today. I bought it for a reader and it works fine for that. However, I also installed Skype and works pretty well for video chat. It is fairly fast and surfing is smooth.
The camera is only good for video chat. The screen resolution is not great but works OK for reading. It is very light, connects easily to a USB drive and wifi was easy to set up.
It does not use google play, but it does use Amazon's app store. The apps installed are adequate for my use and if this tablet lasts I'll be ecstatic.
