I purchased this 4 TB model for backups and current work, and it's been working flawlessly so far. I'm considering buying another Thunderbolt drive to use technology to the full and I'm very curious about testing the speed of daisy-chained drives. The drive is not cheap, but the quality and speed of this drive justify the cost.
