In addition to great price for the capacity, I look for a good looking and easy to spot design. Black ones disappear amongst everything else. Also, smaller is not always better as they again get lost. Having a distinct look helps much to recognize yours when you're around other people with flash drives.

I use with both Macs and an occasional PC. Works great.
