This is a handy little gadget that works well. As advertised it has great capacity and battery life. To solve the issue of downloading I purchased the KA 333 Earphone jack from www.olympus.com and with the audio software (Wavepad Sound Editor) I have successfully downloaded recorded events. The device is the least cost component of the setup. If one is available with built in software that would be more economical.
