Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet, 2011-10-12

I have been looking for a business functional tablet for some time and I think the ThinkPad tablet fufills all of my expectations.

The tablet uses the latest Android operatiing system and tons of apps are available and most of the good ones are free. I like the way you can switch back and forth between open apps which gives it an edge over the iPad's. This tablet is heavier and thicker than an iPad 2 but I like that the screen is made from Gorilla Glass which is the same stuff used in some cooking surfaces. Another benefit of the larger physcial size is that you have ports for a SD card and a full size USB port.

There is also an integrated 'pen" which is included. This gives you some pin point touch capabilities on the screen as well as acting like a mouse for editing functions. I don't have the smallest hands in the world and this is a nice addition for me.

I have used ThinkPad notebooks for many years and this tablet seems to meet the standards I have come to expect. For a business tool, this is a great tablet. There are probably more options avialble for iPads in the way of integrateing them with entertainment devices but I have been looking for a tablet that lets me leave the notebook at home and I think this one fits that bill.
