  Great far so good with one exception....,  2012-08-17

It's a refurb drive so you have to be realistic on expectations - sort of like a used car. You don't know what happened to it in the past. Fortunately MacMall provides the same warranty as if it was brand new. So far the drive has run perfectly, no problems. My only exception was that it was described as having (and the pictures backed it up) a 400 Firewire connection on the backend. That is not the case, it does not have a 400 Firewire connection. I assume the pictures were from a different version. I can see how the mistake would happen. Fortunately, it came with a 400\800 conversion wire. As I work in a environment with 800 and 400 Firewire drives, it all worked out for me. Just something you should be aware of though.
