  Great Clock Radio with Many Features,  2013-01-01

Bought this iHome clock radio because of the multitude of features and it's one of the few choices out there that still has an AM radio tuner. Wanted something to dock my iPod Touch (Gen 4) and keep it charged all the time. It's a little big for my nightstand but most of the units on the market these days are about this size. I got the black one, it's sharper looking than the silver but will show dust and fingerprints much easier.

I've only had it set up for a day but the sound is great and it was easy to sync the time with my iPod.
Docking the iPod is a little tricky and I worry a bit about knocking it off its mount if I'm reaching over to turn off the alarm in the morning - but the backlit buttons on the top of the unit will help with avoiding that. I like the multitude of dimmer settings to reduce the brightness at night. The alarm settings also allow a customized volume for whatever you are waking to (i.e., buzzer, radio, iPod).

My only two complaints so far are: 1) I don't like having two dangling wires for each of the AM and FM antennas, and 2) The instructions for set up of the alarms are not clear - they are missing a key point about the fact that the alarm setting needs to be in flashing mode for set up of the "wake to" mode, the radio station preset, and the volume. The instructions imply that you only have to have it in flashing mode for set up of the alarm wake time.
