  Just what I was looking for.,  2012-09-10

I wanted a simple shell (or even a nice sleeve) for my new Macbook Air. I saw this at this store, but I usually don’t buy the first case I come across. I also checked out Best Buy and Fry’s for their selection of shells/sleeves. They didn’t have what I was looking for; more of a generic selection, and one size just doesn’t fit all. I headed back here to purchase the Feather Ultralight Shell. The price was right too. So far I couldn’t be happier with the shell. Just be aware that it is much easier to install than remove. The Lid is easier to remove than the Base. Maybe there is a secret I haven’t found for removing the Base. I have only removed them once. Both pieces "snap" onto the computer. I was a little worried before the purchasing it that it was going to fall off all the time. That is wasn’t the case at all. It has a nice tight fit and hasn’t tried to pop off once.

If you are looking for a little scratch protection for your nice, silver Macbook, look no further. You won’t notice it’s there. It does not hinder the usability of the computer at all. And it’s very thin. You shouldn’t notice any difference in thickness of the computer when closed. They have a few color options, but I went for the basic business black.
