It is ideal for home office, small office and classroom use. The USB Server supports both Ethernet and Wi-Fi networks -- making it easy to print to a USB printer from a Wi-Fi based laptop. Connect USB devices to a PC or Mac via a wired or wireless LAN. Much like a print server, this USB Server enables attached USB devices to be used and shared by client PCs on a LAN (Local Area Network). In addition to printers, the USB Server supports other USB devices such as hard drives, scanners and more.
Connectivity to USB Devices:
• 4 USB Full-Speed ports (12 Mbps)
• Full 500mA power provided to each port. Connectivity to Network:
• RJ45 LAN connector
• 10/100 autosensing
• IP addressing : Static/DHCP/Rendezvous. Compatible USB Devices:
• USB Server software supports USB printers, USB multi-function printers, USB scanners, and USB HID devices. While other USB devices may work, they are not officially supported at this time. USB audio/video products and USB Hubs are not compatible with the USB Server. See the Keyspan web site for further details. Requirements:
• Macintosh: Mac OS X v10.2.8 or greater
• Windows: Windows 2000, Windows XP or greater.
