This collection features 2 new episodes that continue C.S. Forester's swashbuckling tales of sea hero Horatio Hornblower (Ioan Gruffudd). The setting is the 18th century, and the British are at war with Napoleon. Hornblower is an intellectual young midshipman who enters Her Majesty's Navy as a bullied recruit but quickly rises through the ranks to take command of his first ship and become a hero of the seas. In "Loyalty," Hornblower's peacetime existence is once again interrupted by the winds of war. In "Duty," the war hero gets married but soon returns to the sea to ward off a French invasion.
