    Products that eCost.com sells as Refurbished/Recertified are in new or like new condition. Individual products may contain minor cosmetic irregularities and may be packaged in generic boxes, bags or containers by the manufacturer.

    We source Refurbished/Recertified products direct from the manufacturer, from authorized distributors and refurbishers, and from other reputable sources. Refurbished/Recertified originate from various sources including:
    1. New product manufactured and labeled as Refurbished/Recertified. Manufacturers may intentionally plan to produce new units and label them as Refurbished/Recertified Products in order to meet economic manufacturing quantities, to meet lower product price points or to reduce inventory overstocks. Often times manufacturers may reduce warranty periods and/or utilize more economic generic packaging to reduce the product cost.
    2. Consumer retail returns that have then been returned to the manufacturer / supplier for any number of reasons including buyer remorse, minor product defects, demonstration units and other various reasons. Products are 100% inspected, tested and if necessary repaired and cleaned to be brought back to original specification.
